A Dance in the Flowers is part of a series of gravestone rubbings that I turned into paintings. I made these when I lived in Minnesota. I walked in the cemetery and collected images from the headstones, like a collage, on paper with wax pastels. I avoided dates and names to just concentrate on the decorative images. Paper, wax pastel, acrylic paint, glued on to a birchwood panel with acrylic medium. 16 x 20. This piece is wired on the back and ready to hang. No need for framing. This is an original piece of art. I have not made any prints. Due to the complicated nature of collecting images at cemeteries I most likely will not make any more of these.
